The Owensboro Air Show September 30th-October 2nd was already going to be spectacular. But now, here comes the Army.

Owensboro Living reports that the US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and aerobatic performer extraordinaire, Gary Ward, have been added to the Air Show slate.

The world's most famous parachute demonstration team, in fact, will begin each day's festivities by flying the American flag during the national anthem.

Friday, September 30th, will be your first opportunity to see the Knights at the Owensboro Regional Airport.

Just after dark, on that day, the team will jump into the static display area from some 12000 feet in the air.

Plus, on that evening, spectators will be able to get and up-close-and-personal look at some of the planes used in the performances as well as other aircraft, both military and civilian.

Admission for airport activities will just be $2.00. Kids 12 and under will get in free.
