Owensboro Convention Center Pier Gets a Name and a Ribbon Cutting

For as long as we've had the Owensboro Convention Center, folks who would be on the pier for whatever reasons would speculate, "So what part of the old Showroom Lounge was THIS?"

Well, now it has a name and there's a ribbon cutting scheduled to celebrate the Kentucky Legend Pier.

Next Thursday, July 6th, that ceremony will begin at noon.

Kentucky Legend, which is a division of Specialty Food Groups, is an Owensboro company with 100 years of meat-manufacturing roots planted firmly in the community.

The 8900 square foot pier will officially take its new name next Thursday and, naturally, will be available for most any type of meeting or event.
