Owensboro Music Celebrates 45 Years (Shaped by Faith)

Gordy Wilcher, the founder of Owensboro Music Center, Celebrates 45 Years in Business. He shares how he first got started in the music business and how much the industry has changed over the years.

In addition to offering great products, Owensboro Music will design and install custom sound systems for churches, homes, schools and more. Their sound experts have designed and installed over 200 systems for house of worship and school venues.

Their instructors offer guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, drum, keyboard and vocal instruction.

To thank our Community for all their support over the years, Gordy is planning several FREE events in his store this Summer. In house concerts will take place on Thursdays at 7 PM. The first and last Saturday of each Month Owensboro Music will host an acoustic jam session with local musicians.

Gordy has had his share of health issues, beating prostate cancer and surviving a heart attack. Gordy demonstrates a simple exercise that will strengthen the lower body and also work on balance and stabilization along with increasing the heart rate.
