Owensboro Police Department Investigating Early Morning Shooting

The Owensboro Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting.  One man was injured and authorities say the shooter is unidentified and possibly on the loose.

According to OPD, the shooting occurred approximately 8am this morning in the 100 block of West 4th Street.  32-year-old Daniel Williams (of Owensboro) was standing in the alley and was struck by a gunshot to his hip.  Williams' injuries are non-life threatening, but, at this time, there is no information as to the person responsible for the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing and authorities are looking for assistance.
