Owensboro Police Department Investigating Shooting, Two Juveniles Arrested

A shooting investigation by the Owensboro Police Department has led to the arrest of two juveniles and a female juvenile was sent to the hospital.

On Wednesday morning, OPD responded to a shooting call in the 800 block of George Street. They discovered a female juvenile, age 16, with a gun shot wound to the neck. She was transferred to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

The initial investigation into the incident revealed the gun used in the shooting was previously reported stolen. Two juveniles, ages 14 and 16, were arrested at the scene and charged with possession of the hand gun, receiving stolen property.

The investigation is ongoing.
