Owensboro Police Release Names Regarding Tuesday Homicide

The Owensboro Police Department has released the names of both the victim and the assailant in a homicide investigation that began Tuesday.

Police responded to the 2200 block of Barron Drive Tuesday afternoon regarding a possible suicide.

When they arrived, they discovered Matthew A. Adams, who was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

Information they obtained at the scene led police to a residence in the 3200 block of Placid Place.

Upon their arrival, officers found Erica Owen, who was deceased.

Adams was then transported to the Owensboro Police Department where we was charged with murder/domestic violence.
