Owensboro Special Olympian Chris Willis Grabs Two 4th Place Finishes at World Games
It's been a busy week for Owensboro's Chris Willis. The Special Olympian is in Los Angeles competing for Team USA at the 2015 World Games! So far, Chris has competed in two events and has been right on the edge of breaking onto the podium.
Yesterday, Chris placed 4th in his heat of the 50-meter freestyle at the Special Olympics World Games. He swam a time of :44.56 and missed a Bronze Medal by just eight hundredths of a second. Willis finished just behind Olivier Agullo of Monaco who snagged 3rd place.
Earlier this week, Chris also finished 4th in the 50-meter backstroke.
Congratulations, Chris! We love you, Buddy! Keep up the good work and we'll see you when you get back to Owensboro. You're our Olympic hero!
