Owensboro to Offer Free Bus Rides on Election Day
This is excellent news. The City of Owensboro has agreed to offer free city bus service on Election Day.
That announcement this morning from Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Candance Brake. According to Candance, the Owensboro City Commission has agreed to offer FREE bus service all day on Tuesday, November 6th. The move is aimed at increasing voter turnout and participation by providing every eligible voter the opportunity to receive transportation to the precincts around town.
Of course, the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce is committed to encouraging everyone to participate in the election process. The Chamber's annual Go Vote campaign is in full effect as we near the midterm elections.
