With Veterans Day quickly approaching, there are several activities going on in the Tri-State area to honor those who have served our great military. The city of Owensboro is planning their annual Veterans Day parade for this weekend.

Bring your entire family out on Saturday, November 9th downtown for the Veterans Day parade. The parade will begin at 3:45pm and will feature marching bands, military units and more. The parade will honor our veterans, past and present.

This year’s parade will begin at Second Street and Crittenden Street. The parade route will travel west on Second Street, north on Daviess Street, and west on Veterans Boulevard ending at Frederica Street.

Following the parade, Smothers Park will be filled with live music leading up to a fireworks display at 5:30 p.m. over the Ohio River. The public is invited to come support our veterans and enjoy a great evening of fireworks.
