Paddy O’Beach Reminds Me of St. Patrick’s Day (Obviously) and the Birthday Card I Could Never Find
Paddy O'Beach is coming back to the Owensboro Convention Center Saturday, March 14th. Clearly St. Patrick's Day will be on everyone's mind. And it will, therefore, remind me of something I could never find.
When it comes to birthday cards, I like 'em funny. I just do. That's me. And I've been sending or giving funny birthday cards--and Christmas cards, too, for that matter--for as long as I can remember.
All my family has come to expect it.
My dad's birthday was March 17th. And while I could always find funny cards for Dad, I could never find what my great aunt and uncle could ALWAYS find:
A funny St. Patrick's Day BIRTHDAY CARD!
In fact, I had a hard time finding ANY kind of St. Patrick's Day birthday card, let alone a funny one.
Of course, nowadays you can find all kinds of cards for all kinds of occasions, but Dad passed away in 2005. And maybe plenty has changed in the last ten years of all.
Even in the greeting card business.
But back to Paddy O'Beach:
Wright Implement, WBKR and WOMI are bringing Paddy O’Beach back to Owensboro! This is the biggest, most outrageous, St. Patrick’s Day party around! The first 1000 people through the door receive a Paddy O’Beach cup, sponsored by Bud’s Harley Davidson!
The Owensboro Convention Center will feature Owensboro Rock Band INSULATED on the Owensboro Music Center stage, and the totally gnarly 1980’s cover band, Max Headroom, sponsored by Limo’s by Knight!
Check out the photo booth, the mechanical bull and maybe run into a few lucky Leprechauns. Slainte! This party is 21+.
