The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall of 30,000 cases of packaged vegetables produced by Country Fresh Produce in Conroe, Texas due to a potential contamination of the bacteria Listeria.

According to the FDA, Listeria is "an organism" that has the potential to "cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems." The bacteria can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women. Meanwhile, healthy individuals may show "short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea."

While none of the products included in the recall were shipped to Indiana stores, they available in Kentucky and features a "Best Used By" date anywhere between August 7th, 2016 and August 19th, 2016.

If you have one or more of the bags in question, the FDA instructs you to return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
