PRIDE (Public Responsibility in Designing Our Environment) will award four grants for beautification projects in celebration of its annual PRIDE Day. Applications are being accepted now and must be received by April 9.Each grant will be for up to $250. Grants must be used for beautification projects in public places. Examples include medians, neighborhood entrances and parks. Neighborhood alliances, non-profit groups and other agencies may apply. Grants will not be awarded to individuals, private businesses or for projects on private property.

The grants are being awarded as part of the organization’s PRIDE Day, which will be Saturday, April 21. Award recipients will be announced April 13. PRIDE is a community-based group focused on the aesthetics of Owensboro-Daviess County.
