Richard “Rick” Lasley has been named the new principal at Apollo High School. That announcement was made this afternoon at a reception in the Apollo High media center.  Lasley is very familiar to folks here in Western Kentucky.  He is currently serving as principal at Hancock County High School, a position he held for 11 years.

While the Hornets of Hancock County will surely miss him, Lasley says he's excited to become part of the Apollo Eagle history.  “It is truly an honor to be chosen as the next principal at a school with such tradition as Apollo High School and I couldn’t be more pleased to be joining the Eagle Family.”

Lasley replaces former Apollo principal Charles Broughton, who was recently selected at the DCPS director of secondary schools.
