The Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control are warning against the consumption of Gravel Ridge brand eggs due to a salmonella contamination.

The Gravel Ridge Farms Cage-Free Large Eggs have already sickened 38 people, including one Kentuckian.

I have no idea what, if any, stores carry this particular brand, but I do know that I see a blue million different egg cartons when I go to the supermarket, so it's worth checking out.

According to the FDA, the eggs were distributed between 6/25/2018 and 9/6/2018.

Tennessee has been the hardest hit, with 23 cases reported. Of the 38 total who've fallen ill from the tainted eggs, 10 have been hospitalized.

So far, though, there have been no fatalities reported, thank goodness.

If you have any questions about this contamination, please call the FDA's Daniel Wright at 252-962-9124.
