We each have plenty to be thankful for!

All of us have been stretched by life at one time or another, or maybe you are in the middle of being stretched beyond what you thought you were capable of doing. The good news is, God is right there with you. He has already made a way for you to go through whatever challenge you are in the middle of right now. While we are being stretched out of our comfort zones lets stay focused on praising God through the good and challenging times in life.

Here is a scripture and a great stretch you can do to strengthen your Spine and your total body!

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:14a (NIV)

OPPOSITE ARM AND LEG STRETCH
Begin by placing your hands and knees on the floor. Place your hands directly under your shoulders with your knees directly under your hips. Keep your spine and core neutral. Exhale and extend your left arm straight out in front of you and your right leg behind you. Hold this for three seconds. Inhale and lower your arm and leg back to the floor or hover them over the floor. Repeat this ten times. Switch arm and legs and repeat for ten times.

Superman Stretch

Lying flat on your tummy, arms held stretched out over head and held in line with the body, simultaneously lift the arms, head and legs (superman position) and hold for 8 counts. Then, simultaneous extend the arms & legs out ( to X position) hold for 2 counts, move back in to superman for 2 counts, move out again for 2 and back in for 2 which completes your second 8 count. Lower the arms and legs briefly then repeat the exercise. This movement really engages most of your backside including upper, mid and lower back, glutes, hips and thighs.
