Screening for COVID-19 Antibodies starts today, Summer Social happens tomorrow, and a Stanley Fire Department Community Blood Drive is happening this afternoon.

The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center has teamed up with several Owensboro organizations to host Save Our Summer Blood Drive and you're encouraged to donate.

Owensboro Health donated $100,000 to the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center that will be used for the purchase of a new bloodmobile. The second bloodmobile is designed to accommodate more blood drives with additional donors each year.

January 5th is National Volunteer Blood Donor Day in the City of Owensboro and Daviess County. You can celebrate by giving the gift of life with WKRBC today.

I had a first on Wednesday. I donated blood to the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center via their Bloodmobile. I've only had blood work done once, and it was about a month ago. Yes, I'm a newbie at having needles stuck in my arm, well, I'm saying new since I haven't had a flu shot in 2 years, but it was no big deal.
