The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series has made significant playoff stages this season, but next season, more tracks will be included in the Chase

Speedweeks at Daytona will start February 11th and the 60th "Great American Race" will move to its original President's Day weekend race date which in 2018 will be on February 18th. The Clash and Daytona qualifying will be ran as a double-header.

The regular season finale race prior to the playoffs will be the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway which is moving to September 9th. Las Vegas Motor Speedaway will host the first race in the playoffs on September 16th, meaning Vegas will host two Cup races next year. The Charlotte playoff race on September 30th will include a combination oval/road course race, a first for the Chase.

Chicagoland Speedway's place on the Monster Energy schedule is moving to July 1st as part of a triple-header with the Xfinity Series and the Camping World Truck Series. The Monster Energy Cup Series will have three off-weekends next season, a change from the regular two: Easter on April 1st, a new idle weekend in June, and the weekend before Labor Day.
