The Freedom Train Returns to Holiday World

An iconic piece of Holiday World history will be on display when the park opens for its 70th Anniversary Season.  The Freedom Train returns!

Holiday World just launched its Official Holiday World Podcast.  And, in the initial offering, Holiday World president Matt Eckert spoke about The Freedom Train and shared his own memories about riding the train when the park was still known as Santa Claus Land.  He then shared the big news about the train's return!

Matt shared with the podcast audience, “The Freedom Train is an important part of our history – we were determined to bring it back and put it on display for generations of riders to see.”

The train has been restored to its original blue and red colors and Santa Claus Land Railroad name.  The train will be on display in the park’s 4^th of July section this season, along with memorabilia from the park’s seven decades.

The Freedom Train was replaced by a new train ride, Holidog Express, in 2013.
