The Tri-State always makes the best of July 4th with some of the best fireworks shows around.  Here's a list of some of the most spectacular shows you can take the family to this year!

The Henderson Riverfront will host a huge celebration for the 4th!  Food booths will open at 5:30 with kids entertainment and activities starting at 6pm in Audubon Mill Park on the Henderson Riverfront. The activities include Balloon Art by Daniel Herron, Fingerprinting by Henderson Police Department, a petting zoo provided by Equestrian Enterprises and pony rides will also be available for $3.00.!  For the older crowd, The Smoke Rings and the Green River Drifters at 6pm and the whole family will enjoy the fireworks at 9pm!

Thousands of people will gather at Dress Plaza on the Ohio riverfront to watch the fireworks display in Evansville on July 4th.  The Thunder and Lightening Fireworks show will start at 9pm.  As always, this fun family event is FREE!  Earlier in the day, enjoy Old National Bank's Thunder Air Show with various aerobatic and military acts, including the Canadian Forces Snowbirds demonstration team, on the Evansville river front at 1, 6 and 9pm

The July 4th celebration will begin around 5 pm at the Old Lock and Dam Park on the banks of the Ohio River.  The rain date will be Friday July 6th.  Come down early to enjoy an evening of games, food, music and fun. Enjoy homemade ice cream, brats, hamburgers, bbq, and summer social type games including a dunking booth! The fireworks pre-celebration starts at 8:30 with fireworks at 9 PM.  The fireworks display is paid for by the generous donation of many businesses but individuals can also assist by purchasing a fireworks button for $5.00.  Buttons are available at Heritage Federal Credit Union and many local Downtown Newburgh merchants.

Start your day with a barbecue picnic at St. Augustine Parish (Reed) at 1:30 PM. View the fireworks from English Park on the Ohio River as the City of Owensboro celebrates the Fourth of July with music from the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra and concludes with fireworks shot off from a barge in the Ohio River. Gates open at 6 pm, followed by speeches, Color Guard, and fireworks accompanied by patriotic music at 9.
