Angel here!  School is back in session and with school comes school supplies.  When we think of school supplies we think of kids right?  But what about the supplies the teachers need!?  I found out their most wanted items~

After spending what felt like eternity shopping for all the boys school supplies I started thinking about what their teachers might need.  I went to facebook and polled all my teacher friends from all around and this is the list I came up with!

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

  • Weighted blankets (special need students)
  • Lamps (fluorescent lights are bad for kids)
  • Rugs for their rooms
  • Colored Printers
  • Pencils
  • Bright colored paper or cardstock
  • Clorox Wipes
  • Oil Diffusers
  • Sensory and Fidget items
  • Dry Erase Expo Markers
  • Laminating Sleeves

MIDDLE SCHOOL

  • Chair Bands for kids to place feet on
  • Dry Erase Expo Markers
  • Pencils
  • Sketch Journals
  • Clorox Wipes
  • Volleyballs/Soccer Balls
  • Germ X
  • Journals to give students (guidance counselor)

HIGH SCHOOL

  • Laminating pouches
  • Pencils
  • Colored Printer
  • Low Odor Dry Erase Markers

It may seem crazy for teachers to request items such as the ones above with all we as parents purchase for our kids at the beginning of the school year but it's not!  I have worked in the schools and these teachers have very little to no budget to purchase items they need throughout the year.  Most teachers spend hundreds of dollars out of pocket to make their rooms educational, interactive, and friendly to all students.  It's expensive!  So when you are thinking about teacher gifts or picking up a little something extra take a look at the list above.

If you are teacher and want to add something please do.  Get together with a group of parents and go in on something larger like a colored printer.  Sometimes these items can be found on sale!

Lastly, a huge thank you to all our educators.  You all sacrifice and work so hard for our students.  We appreciate you!
