If you know some folks who are spending Fall Break vacationing in the Gulf Coast, you'll want to make them aware that it may not be much of a vacation at all.  The National Weather Service has upgraded Tropical Depression #14 to Tropical Storm Michael.  And, now, forecasters believe that storm will intensify into a hurricane before it hits the Gulf Coast mid-week.

As you can imagine, we have lots of folks from the WBKR listening area vacation in and around the Gulf Coast.  Many left this weekend to get a jump start on their Fall Break celebrations.  But, Mother Nature could be bringing them an unexpected surprise.

According to 10News WTSP, Florida Governor Scott plans to declare a State of Emergency in advance of the storm.
