This is pretty awesome!  As you know, the sport of archery has grown tremendously in school systems around the country.  And, now, two archers from Daviess County High School have become true pioneers of the sport.  They are the first students from DCHS to sign archery letters of intent for college!

Bailee Jones and Michaela McDonald will make it official this Friday when they sign letters of intent to join the Patriots Archery Team at the University of the Cumberlands.  Both ladies will begin college there this fall. And they are going to be huge assets to the team.  At Daviess County High School, the ladies helped guide their team to a national championship this season.

They'll officially sign their letters of intent at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 14, in the media center at Daviess County High School. The school is located at 4255 New Hartford Road.

And as they prepare for their college careers, there's still work to do in their high school careers.  There are several meets left in competition season and the girls will end their high school archery season in June at the outdoor 3D National Tournament in Metropolis, Illinois.
