Water Main Leak Leads to Owensboro Public Schools Closure

We've received an Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer news alert about a water main leak that has led OMU to close 4th Street from Wing Avenue to West Highland Court.

The leak, however, is substantial enough that Owensboro Public Schools are closing for the day, as well.

A boil water advisory has been issued for the city of Owensboro, according to the mayor's office.

UPDATE: Daviess County Schools are being dismissed early due to the water main leak. Elementary schools at 12:30 and middle and high schools at 1:30.
