This is pretty incredible.  WBKR sales associate Bill Eidson was sitting on a patio bench at his home Saturday afternoon when he heard something hit a window in his house.  He quickly realized that a hummingbird had flown into the window and knocked itself unconscious.  In fact, the little guy fell right there on the patio.  So, Bill (channeling a little Dr. Doolittle) went to work and tried to revive the hummingbird.  And, you know what?  It worked!  Here's how he did it!

When Bill found the little guy, he was out cold.

So, for about 20 minutes, Bill performed a little avian CPR on the little guy.  Bill says "I kept him warm in my hands and rubbed his little back."  Finally, the hummingbird had the strength to give his left wing a try.  When he did, Bill felt the bird's feet start to move.  But, then, the bird needed to rest for another 10 minutes.

So, he sat there in Bill's hands and tried to gather some strength.  Then, according to Bill, "the right wing kicked in" and about 5 minutes later "he took off right out of my hand!"

And the little guy flew away completely recovered!  But he did stick around long enough for Bill to get this amazing picture of his little rescued buddy!
