Raise your hand if you tried to take pictures of the total solar eclipse. I did, however, one picture I took was a pure delight to watch.

I read that if you took a selfie with an iPhone, it wouldn't damage your camera. It didn't, but I don't know what happened here? I guess that little purple spot above my head might be the middle of the eclipse.

I did get a picture. This time, I took it with part of the lens of my glasses over my iPhone lens and...my apologies to Corena.

See that really, itty bitty orange speck? That's the eclipse. I had a pair of glasses that had reflective lenses on the outside and inside, I tried.

My amateur photographer skills weren't all for nothing. I love this picture of the crescent shadows as the moon was starting to cover the sun.

In a lot of ways, for those of us who almost saw totality, the shadows were just as dazzling. If you didn't use glasses but the old pinhole method, you saw a these incredible images as well. Thank goodness for trees!
