WKU Honors Several High School Students from Owensboro and Vicinity
Huge congratulations go out to several high school students from Owensboro and the surrounding area. They've been recognized for their academic prowess by Western Kentucky University.
My alma mater singled out 80 students from Apollo, Daviess County, Hancock County, Henderson County, McLean County, Ohio County, Owensboro Catholic, and Owensboro High Schools and invited them to a luncheon at the Owensboro Convention Center where they were recognized for having an average ACT composite score of 28.43.
Just so you'll know, that is VERY good.
These bright kids also have an average GPA of 3.89.

Among the 80 students were 39 Governor’s Scholars/Governor’s School for the Arts/Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs.
There were also five National Merit Semifinalists.
The future is indeed bright for the young people listed here:
