WNIN Tri-State Public Media, Inc. (www.wnin.org) is continuing its high school short film competition, Shorts by High Schoolers (SxHS), this fall for the second year.

The competition is open to all high school students in the Tri-State area, and is designed for teams of two to four students. All films submitted will be featured online. The four best films submitted will be featured on a WNIN 9.1 PBS television program, and each member of the 1st place teams in the Narrative and Documentary categories will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the University of Southern Indiana or the University of Evansville as a prize.

Registration for the contest is open until September 30, 2016. For more information about the contest, or to register, students can visit wnin.org/community/sxhs.

For information about how to integrate the contest into high school arts curriculum, contact Alison Petrash at apetrash@wnin.org or (812) 423-2973.

Funding for this project is provided, in part, by the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana.
