College View Middle School is “teaming up” with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

CVMS is hosting its last home football game of the season on Thursday, as the Vikings host Owensboro Middle School. The seventh-grade game begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by the eighth-grade game at approximately 6 p.m.

Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students. CVMS students who have a Star Card are admitted free.

The American Cancer Society will have a booth at the game to share important information about cancer and resources for help. Between games and at half-time, special performances are scheduled by faculty, staff, cheerleaders and the Vikettes dance team. The Glee Club will sing the National Anthem to start the evening celebrating survivors and their families. Football players will also wear pink socks during the game.

The CVMS dance team and cheerleaders sold pink stickers which will entitled students to use their cell phones and musical devices during the lunch period. Stickers are $1 each and proceeds will be donated to the ACS.
