Some important news to share this morning from the Daviess County Clerk's Office.  I got this message early today from my buddy Richard House and he wanted me to share this with you.

With the Governor ordering all non-essential retailers to close (which includes auto dealerships), effective at the close of business on Monday, March 23rd, the Daviess County Clerk’s Office will stop taking appointments for transferring a vehicle, trailer, or boat until further notice. If you have a transfer to complete, please make an appointment by calling 270-685-8434 Ext. 1 before the close of business Monday.

Now, keep this in mind as well, especially if you have a registration tag that has expired or is close to its expiration date.

The Secretary of Transportation through the Emergency Order issued by the Governor has extended license plate tags for 90 days; however, if you are one who wants to take care of this now, please use our mail, phone, or online services. Our employees will continue to assist customers over the phone in any way that they can. Again our number is 270-685-8434—- press #1 for auto, #3- for Recording and Marriage Licenses, and #3237 or 3210 for Elections.

If you missed Governor Andy Beshear's news conference yesterday afternoon, in which he ordered all "non-essential" retails businesses in the Commonwealth to close, you can get the details and watch that briefing by CLICKING HERE.
