
DC Sheriff’s Office Identifies Driver in Fatal Hit and Run Incident on HWY 56
An update to a story we shared with you yesterday here at WBKR. Daviess County Sheriff's Department detectives say they have identified a subject as the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run Thursday evening on HWY 56 in Owensboro.
That incident claimed the life of 38-year-old Christine Rhineburger.
According to an official news release obtained late Friday evening, detectives were able to locate the driver and vehicle believed to be involved. Officials say the subject is being cooperative and detectives will meet with prosecutors next week to determine whether to present the case to a grand jury.
