Dollar General Stores are stepping up and offering a discount to some of our brave front line workers in the COVID-19 crisis.

The 10% on all qualifying purchases will be redeemable when medical professionals, first responders, and activated National Guard members present their badges at checkout, according to News4-Nashville.

The discount will be offered through April 30th, 2020, with a plan in place to evaluate an extension of the discount based on the status of the COVID-19 pandemic.

News4 also says the discount won't be available with Dollar General coupons or toward the purchase of "gift cards, all phone cards, prepaid Visa cards, prepaid wireless handsets, lottery tickets, Rug Doctor rentals, tobacco and alcohol beverages."

And, of course, other restrictions may apply.
