Most Expensive Illinois Restaurant Explodes Dessert on Your Table

You'll almost certainly never see dessert served like this anywhere else. What has been ranked as the most expensive restaurant in Illinois will sometimes explode dessert on your table and that's where you eat it from.

According to a new ranking from Love Food, the most expensive restaurant in Illinois is Alinea in Chicago. YouTuber James Andrews just shared a video this week from this ritzy Chicago place and his dinner apparently cost around $345. The ranking says $500 meals there happen, too.

They certainly plate their meals nicely.

It's how this Chicago place serves dessert that caught my eye. They place this dish directly on the table stacked.

Then, it's WHAM!

You then eat the dessert directly off the table. Looks great on the spoon though.

According to the video share, this $345 extravaganza was spread out over a 9-course meal.

$500 for a meal is an investment to me and not dinner, but your mileage may vary. If you have the bank account to support it, I don't doubt that Alinea in Chicago is as good as it gets. That's a big "IF" though.
