How 6 Trolls Used to Be Hiding Deep Within the Illinois Woods

There really were trolls in Illinois that were hidden deep within the woods, but they are no more apparently.

Have you come upon a giant in the Illinois woods? Thomas Dambo would like you to. He is the creator behind these 6 trolls that are in the woods near Chicago. He shared video of his wood trolls on YouTube along with the answer to the question why:

"The trolls have been fed up with the humans destroying nature, and has decided to take matters into their own hands. The six giant trolls are made solely from recycled wood, and also consists of a troll habitat, hidden inside the forest."

Thomas shared his video a few years ago of his creation near Chicago and he has wooden trolls that are spread across America. His Troll Map website shows you where with instructions on how you can find them, but don't look for the Illinois trolls anymore.

Sadly, the trolls in Illinois were dismantled back in 2021 after Thomas Dambo's exhibit at the Morton Arboretum ended. Still, it was an innocent effort by a man and his followers to remind everyone of how magical the woods can be as long as we continue to care for them.
