Internet’s Worst Pizza Still Pretty Great & Has 8 Illinois Places

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that's especially true of food. Never let anyone tell you that one food is awful when taste is a very subjective thing. That's why I'd argue that what the internet says is the worst pizza is still actually pretty great and still has 8 locations in Illinois.

Blame this on Mashed who did the pizza shaming recently. They ranked what they think (key phrase) are the best and worst pizza brands and the one at the bottom of their list is one I happen to like. It's Pizza Ranch.

Why does the internet think Pizza Ranch is the worst pie brand?

That's a great question that I don't have a good answer for. I can only theorize that they don't like the concept of a pizza buffet which is one of the things I LOVE about Pizza Ranch. It reminds me of the old school Pizza Hut buffets that were popular in the 80's and 90's and I wish they'd bring that back.

The official Pizza Ranch website shows there are 8 locations sprinkled around Illinois just like neat little pepperoni. While it's not my favorite type of pizza (and no, I'm not telling what my #1 is), I'd highly recommend ignoring the rest of the internet and trying Pizza Ranch if you're near one and hungry. You could do a lot worse than a pizza buffet, in my opinion.
