Indiana’s Most Popular Costco Product Is Surprisingly Ordinary

You can buy an abundance of different items at Costco, but the one that Hoosiers purchase the most is not what you would expect.

I'll be completely honest; I've never set foot in a Costco Wholesale. However, last year, I did get my first Sam's Club membership, so I'm not a total noob to shopping in bulk. In addition to enjoying the Sam's Club Cafe, my wife and I also visit the store to buy our coffee and meat in bulk. It's saved us quite a bit of money in the long run.

The website Real Simple recently compiled a list of the most popular Costco items in each state, and when it came to Indiana, I was certainly surprised. I had expected it to be some sort of popular food item, but rather, it was quite the opposite. Before taking a look at what Hoosiers are throwing their cash at while in Costco, let's take a look at some honorable mentions around the United States.

Kirkland Signature is Costco's in-house brand, which offers everyday goods at a discounted price. Therefore, it makes sense that many of the most popular Costco items in each state fall under that label. In Alabama and Alaska, Kirkland Signature Premium Paper Towels were the most popular items sold in stores. Things get a little more interesting in the Midwest. In Illinois, the most popular Costco item appears to be Kirkland Signature Prosecco, which is an "extra dry" wine. In Kentucky, the most popular Costco item was Reese's Dipped Animal Crackers.

Now, when it comes to Indiana, the most popular Costco item gets a little less interesting. Apparently, what Hoosiers are buying the most appears to be the Kirkland Signature Stretch Tite Plastic Food Wrap. However, upon further research, it looks like this particular item is now only available in select regions. That said, if you have your heart set on this particular plastic wrap, you can get it from one of several private sellers on Amazon.
