Looking for adventure? Pigeon Forge's MegaZip offers thrill-seekers a breathtaking ride through the Smoky Mountains. Are you ready for heights and speeds?

Tennessee's Popular Vacation Destination

Here in the Tri-State, we are no strangers to vacationing in Tennessee.  There's so much to do and see in the Volunteer State.  Whether you're going to a bachelorette party in Nashville or want a relaxing mountain getaway, you can find it in Tennessee.  We're lucky because Tennessee is not a far drive from the Evansville area, so if we feel like renting a cabin in the mountains, it's the perfect distance for a long weekend.

And if you're a thrill seeker, a relaxing mountain getaway just got a little more exciting than relaxing, you'll be happy to know that the longest zipline in the country just opened in Pigeon Forge.

The Longest Zipline in the U.S.

The longest zipline in the country has officially opened in Pigeon Forge.  This zipline features nearly 6,000 feet of high-flying action.  If you've never ziplined before, it's a lot of fun, and a little terrifying at the same time.  You're basically in a harness that attaches to a trolley on a cable.  The cable is on some kind of slope (mountains are great ziplining locations), and you basically ride along the cable down the mountain (or whatever slope you're going down).

It's a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it! Although you may want to start with something a little bit smaller than the new MegaZip in Pigeon Forge.

Pigeon Forge's MegaZip

The MegaZip is officially the longest zipline in the United States, at 5,774 feet long.  According to Local12, the zipline is also at an elevation of 2,472 feet, and throughout the course of the zipline, you'll drop over 1,000 feet!  You could hit speeds of up to 55 MPH.
