Here in Indiana, like pretty much every other part of the country, our local animal rescues are packed full, many overflowing even, with adoptable animals waiting for their forever homes. There is no shortage of dogs and puppies (and cats and kittens too!) of every shape, size, color, and temperament.

A Brutally Honest, and Hilariously Humorous Plea for the Right Person

In a post to Facebook, Izzy's foster mom, Jamie got really honest about what a potential adopter would be getting themselves into, and while we recognize that it really is going to need to be just the right person to bring this Hoosier hurricane of a pup home, we couldn't help but chuckle at the way Jamie describes Izzy. 

She is the volcano that meets the tornado that Eminem raps about, but I promise it end with a rainbow but it’s like a 5f tornado

If she was a famous person it would be Mike Tyson, those paws are weapons. So if you want you guest to get nut punch, gut punched, or throat punched every time they come over then Izzy is your girl!
If you live in an apartment and want to get evicted… Izzy is your girl, her bark will for sure have the landlord sending you packing!
Have a huge fenced in yard with critters you don’t want there Izzy is your girl, consider them gone, tasty treats is what she calls them.

Your kids have to many stuffed animals and you can’t convince them to get rid of them. Consider them in the mouth of a angle as she sends them to stuffy heaven.
Do you like to run and not walk when taking your pups on an adventure? Izzy is your girl!

Despite Her Wild Demeanor Izzy Is Super Sweet and Loves Affection

Jamie goes on to reiterate the part about Izzy being like Mike Tyson. It isn't that she isn't super sweet, because she is with everyone she meets - adults and kids alike, and she loves getting loved on, but she really just needs some training and work on basic dog-manners.

Patience and the Right Tools Required

Izzy really does lacks manners and as Jamie puts it, "barely knows any basic commands." She gets along with other dogs but she does play rough and would do best with a "wild dog friend" if there is another dog already in the home. This little powerhouse also loves toys and treats and would likely be trainable with some patience and the right tools.

• She is about 2.5-3 years old and has spend most of her life waiting for her forever home.
• Izzy weighs about 56 pounds.
• She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all of her shots.
• She is available for adoption through Newlife Rescue & Adoption in Posey County, Indiana.
• Her adoption fee has been sponsored, so there is no fee for the right person to bring Izzy home.
