One small Indiana business is saying goodbye, but maybe it isn't really so much a goodbye, as a see ya later.

One of My Favorite Local Businesses Just Announced Their Closing!

Look, I'm not going to lie - I may be deeply affected by the news I just read on social media. One of my favorite small, local businesses just revealed that they plan to close their doors and say goodbye.

The Mother-Daughter Owned Business is Located in Boonville

Trickey's Brews and Bevs is owned by mother-daughter duo, Pam and Paige Trickey. The quanit and cozy little coffee shop started as a renovation project in 2021 on the square in Boonville, Indiana.

Trickey's Brews and Bevs Was Well Worth the Drive

Admittedly, I only learned about this little gem in early 2024, but have since visited many times. In fact, Trickey's is our designated meeting spot for our friend group when we get together to sip coffee and catch up with each other, even though it's a thirty minute drive to get there.

You Feel Like You're Among Friends When You Walk In

Trickey's is one of those places that from the moment you walk in, you feel like you're among friends. The atmosphere is warm, and inviting, and we loved to hang out in the back where there's a small loveseat and some comfy chairs. It felt like we were just hanging out at home, but with delicious coffees and yummy treats. The Trickey Bar (in the photo below) is a personal favorite!

Pam Trickey Celebrates Her Birthday by Announcing Her Retirement

In a post to social media, Trickey's revealed that in celebration of her 69th birthday, Pam is retiring. This means that Trickey's will be closing its doors, and saying goodbye. It May Be Goodbye for Trickey's, It's Not the 'End of the Road'

While the final day for Trickey's will be on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2025, Pam did share in her goodbye video that this "isn't the end of the road!"

...this isn't the end of the road! Paige will be starting some exciting new ventures in the coming weeks as she launches her own business, so be on the lookout for what's to come!

We wish Pam a very happy retirement, and while there is no word yet on what Paige's new ventures will be, our little Southern Indiana friend group sure hopes it involves coffee!
