Hot Wing Contest in Evansville Will Test Your Heat Tolerance for Charity
Get ready to eat some wings for a good cause!
Spicy Competition for a Cause
Think you can handle the heat? Your chance to prove it, and maybe win some cash, is coming at the upcoming Hot Wing Contest benefiting Daisy’s New Beginnings. The event takes place on Saturday, September 6th, at Pat Coslett’s Simplicity Furniture off Green River and Vogel Road, in Evansville.
Event Details and Divisions
There are two divisions: the Open Men’s Division and the Open Women’s Division, and each division is limited to the first 12 paid entrants. Competitors will face off to see who can handle the spiciest wings. Cash prizes will be awarded for first and second place in both divisions.

Police vs Firefighter Showdown
Adding to the excitement, the Evansville Police Department’s FOP Lodge #73 and the Evansville Professional Fire Fighters Local 357 will go head-to-head in a special showdown to see which team can best withstand the heat.
Food and Fun for Spectators
Wings and bar service will be provided by Prime Time Pub & Grill in Newburgh, and those in attendance will have the chance to sample some of the hot wings for themselves.
Supporting Daisy’s New Beginnings
Admission is just $5 for spectators, with kids 15 and under admitted free. All proceeds benefit Daisy’s New Beginnings, a local nonprofit that provides funding to local shelters and rescues in Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky, to help them care for animals with extensive veterinary needs. Join Daisy’s New Beginnings for a night of great food and friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and a chance to make a difference for the homeless animals in our community.
How to Register and Get Involved
Registration for competitors is open now. Since spots are limited, early registration is encouraged. If you can't make the hot wing eating contest, but would like to support the cause, check out the Muttminster Rescue Dog Show and Lux Motors Car Show happening earlier in the day to benefit Daisy's New Beginnings.
