Just when we thought it couldn't get in hotter, Mother Nature decided to turn up the heat, and the humidity!

Having spent almost all of my life in the Evansville area, I am no stranger to the Midwest heat and humidity, but as I have gotten older, I have become more aware of how dangerous high heat and humidity can be.

Triple Digit Heat Index This Week

The heat paired with the humidity is going to leave it feeling like an oven outside with the heat index rising well into the triple digits. They say we can expect it to feel like anywhere from 105 to 115 degrees.

Take Precautions to Prevent Heat Related Illness

The National Weather Service says the clouds and rain will give us a little bit of a break, but the heat is still expected to climb. This means if you must be outdoors, you should take an abundance of caution to ensure you don't end up with heat stroke or other heat related illness.
