Ascension Warrick Hospital to Offer Free Healthcare Clinic, Food, and Safety Items at 50th Anniversary Celebration
Ascension Warrick Hospital Celebrates 50 Years in Boonville
If you live in Warrick County, Indiana, chances are you’ve visited Ascension Warrick Hospital. On July 11, 1975, the hospital first opened its doors for patient admissions, marking a new era in local healthcare.
According to a 2021 report, just three years later, the facility was purchased and rebranded as St. Mary’s Warrick Hospital. In 2017, the name changed again to St. Vincent Warrick Hospital under the statewide brand.
Today, it remains a full-service hospital with 24/7 emergency care and offers cardiac rehabilitation, senior mental health care, urology, diabetes management, minimally invasive procedures, imaging, lab services, and rehabilitation all on one campus.

Free Healthcare Clinic at Warrick Hospital
One of the highlights of the day will be the free healthcare clinic. I asked Deb Baize-Gracia, Practice Administrator for the Emergency Departments, to explain what services will be available.
The clinic is sponsored by the Vituity Cares Foundation, a California-based nonprofit that funds and facilitates pop-up clinics nationwide. Vituity also employs the ER providers at St. Vincent Evansville and Warrick.
The clinic is being held alongside the anniversary celebration to raise awareness of the Ascension Warrick Emergency Department as a vital resource, especially for uninsured and underinsured individuals in the Boonville area.
Free Clinic Services Available Visitors can take advantage of:
- Blood pressure screenings
- Blood sugar checks
- Wound assessments
- BMI and weight evaluations
- Foot screenings by two podiatry residents (advisory only)
Partnering with Safe Kids of Evansville, the clinic will also provide:
- Safe sleep education for infants
