It’s the Best All-You-Can-Eat Buffet in Tennessee — Where’s My Napkin?

Several years ago, during a Gulf Shores vacation, my family and I got really hungry while sightseeing and were fortunate enough to find Barnhill's Buffet in Pascagoula MS. For a bunch of hungry travelers, we felt like we'd died and gone to heaven; that buffet was the best one I'd ever encountered. (And devoured.)

So, imagine my delight when I discovered there was also one in Jackson TN, the chain's northernmost location at the time. Since I had business in Memphis, I stopped there on the way back and was not disappointed, as expected. Sadly, Jackson's Barnhill's is no longer in business. But a quick drive down I-40 to Memphis would quench all desires for great soul food and lots of it.

The Best All-You-Can-Eat Buffet in Tennessee

Chow Time Buffet & Grill in Memphis is a relatively young establishment, having opened in 2009 to almost instantaneous success. And why not? A buffet loaded with soul food and southern home cooking? Just TRY and get me to leave. I mean, just LOOK at all this:

I'll just tell you flat out, LoveFood knows a great buffet when it sinks its teeth into one; Chow Time is its top pick for buffets in Tennessee. Who could argue? My goal here is to make your mouth water, so here:

Oh, hold on a minute...southern AND Chinese cuisine? A little fusion action? I am certainly here for it.
