I have loved coffee for as long as I can remember. Even as a kid, I used to beg my grandma to pour a little from her cup into her empty creamer cups at Shoney's when my mom wasn't looking.

Kentucky Living Best of 2025

I also love trying new coffee places when traveling. In fact, the last time I went on a road trip to Florida with my friend Ashley, we took a whole detour through Birmingham to try a special shop she told me about. I recently saw that Kentucky Living named three coffee shops Best in the State.  Here they are if you want to check them out.

Apostoli Coffee in Radcliff Named Third-Best Coffee Shop in Kentucky

Partnering with Quills from Louisville, this coffee shop seeks to do more than fuel you for your day with delicious drinks and bagels; their mission is to "do good." Providing a community gathering place, Apostoli is also a place where people can find free financial literacy classes, parent/teen counseling, ESL classes, and recovery support.

According to their social media, they also have a great sense of humor. Also, how cool is that building? The inside looks like a pretty neat place to hang as well. Check out apostolicoffee.com for hours and info.

Ace Coffee in Cave City Named Second-Best Coffee Shop in Kentucky

Cave City is such a fun weekend trip! Whether you visit to go on adventures with the kiddos or spend time with friends, you can stay caffeinated and catching vibes at Ace Coffee on Broadway Street. It used to be an old movie theatre, and they've stayed true to the vintage feel of the space. Gathering is highly encouraged. So slow down and enjoy your creative beverage or Jalapeño, Bacon, and Pimento Cheese Quiche.

Vibe Coffee in Elizabethtown Named Best Coffee Shop in Kentucky

Vibe Coffee welcomes patrons from all over the country in their adorable little shop in downtown Elizabethtown. It is family-owned, and they make all of their syrups and pastries in-house from scratch with organic ingredients. So you know you are going to enjoy a quality treat in a really cool setting.

These all look so amazing, I'm gonna have to plan a road trip based on coffee shops sometime. What is your favorite spot in Kentucky for coffee?
