Fundraiser Planned on Sunday For Young Leukemia Warrior In Tobinsport, Indiana

UPDATED WITH NEW FUNDRAISER INFO: The last several months have been a whirlwind for the Hodges family because, on June 15th, 2024, 3-year-old Raelan was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She's in the fight of her young life, but she isn't alone. Family, friends, and the community have banded together to provide financial and emotional support. Meet the family, find out how to donate, say a prayer, and send a card of encouragement.

Raelan is a sweet and sassy 3-year-old from Tobinsport, Indiana. She's a young, brave fighter conquering B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It's time to "Rev Up For Raelan" during a fundraiser planned for this weekend to help the Hodges family with ongoing medical and travel costs.

THE DIAGNOSIS AND NEXT STEPS

I can't even imagine the turmoil this family is going through after a routine trip to the emergency room for a rash on her belly. After concerning blood tests she was immediately flown to Norton’s Children’s Hospital. More blood tests were run, many scans took place, and Raelan was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She started chemo treatments just two days later. It's been a whirlwind ever since the diagnosis, and I'm sure the family feels frustrated, shocked, scared, and overwhelmed.

She will have to come back to Louisville one day a week for chemo treatments, lasting up to 2 1/2 years. She's got a very long road ahead.

FUNDRAISER PLANNED TO HONOR RAELAN

The event was postponed because of the weather. The new date is Sunday, October 6th, 2024 from 9 am until 1 pm. Troy, IN boat ramp.
