Kentucky Among America’s Most Unfaithful States, New Survey Finds

A new nationwide survey is raising eyebrows and sparking plenty of debate after revealing that Kentucky ranks among the most unfaithful states in the U.S. According to data from NapLab, 100% of respondents in the state reported experiencing infidelity, either as the one who cheated or the one who was cheated on. That staggering number puts Kentucky in a tie for the top spot alongside North Carolina and Alaska.

The survey polled over 1,000 adults across all 50 states, asking just two direct questions: “Have you ever cheated on a significant other?” and “Have you ever been cheated on?” While simple, the results paint a disturbing picture of the state of relationships in America. Especially in the Commonwealth.

Infidelity Across the Nation

Nationwide, 89% of respondents said they had experienced infidelity in some form, either being the cheater, the cheated-on, or both. A massive 85% claimed they’ve been cheated on, but only 34% admitted to cheating themselves. The gap between those two numbers suggests that honesty might still be a hurdle when it comes to talking about personal mistakes. Or, more cynically, someone isn’t telling the truth!

What’s Going on in Kentucky?

When it comes to infidelity, Kentucky just topped a list you probably don’t want to lead!

Kentucky’s numbers are particularly eye-catching. While only 35% of Kentuckians admitted to cheating themselves, a staggering 97% said they had been cheated on, making it the #1 state for reported victimization in relationships. Combined, that means every single person surveyed in Kentucky had dealt with cheating in one form or another.

It’s worth noting that other rural states also ranked near the top for infidelity. Alaska and North Carolina, both tied with Kentucky at 100%, raise the question: Is there something about rural life that contributes to a higher likelihood of cheating? It could be the result of smaller dating pools, less anonymity, or perhaps more candid self-reporting. Either way, the trend is hard to ignore.
