For the last eight years, Owensboro music teacher Cathy Mullins has been regularly singing the National Anthem on a pretty big stage down in Nashville. In 2017, she competed in a contest with the Nashville Predators hockey team. They were hosting a competition to find someone to perform 'The Star-Spangled Banner' before their home games. Cathy was one of the four finalists in that contest and the Predators decided to put those singers into regular rotation and Cathy has been singing her heart out for Tennessee hockey fans since.

Well, last night in Nashville, she got to perform alongside a country music superstar. The Predators played host to the Ottawa Senators and Cathy was asked to sing the Canadian anthem, "O Canada."

She "loves" singing that song and was excited to get the chance to perform it again at Bridgestone Arena.

When she received her 'Crew Call' email over the weekend, she freaked out a little bit because she saw a very recognizable name next to hers.

Yes! Cathy was slated to sing the Canadian National Anthem before Monday's game and country music superstar and American Idol judge Luke Bryan performed 'The Star-Spangled Banner.'

Though photo opportunities aren't always a possibility behind the scenes at Bridgestone, Cathy managed to snag a selfie with Luke following their performances.
