McDonald's New Collector's Meal Serves Up Some Serious Nostalgia

As a kid, was there anything better than your mom or dad swinging through those golden arches and ordering you a Happy Meal? If you were lucky, you even got to go play on the McDonaldland playground!

Although the playgrounds are no more due to safety issues. I guess too many pigtails got caught in what we used to call "Burger Jail." But they were SO FUN! You just had to eat your meal AFTER getting on the merry go round if you wanted to avoid barfing on the Hamburgler.

Thank to my mom, I still have some classic Happy Meal toys. A tiny Beanie Baby, a Barbie with real hair you could brush! 101 Dalmations, and more. So many folks of my generation and older can't get enough nostalgia these days. So, McDonald's is helping us all walk down memory lane with their newest promotion.

Starting August 13th, they are offering Collector's Meals. When you purchase breakfast, lunch or dinner, you get a bright, fun drinking glass that is printed with toys and promotions of Happy Meals gone by. Coca-Cola polar bears, Hello Kitty, Shrek, McNugget Buddies, Grimace mugs, and those teeny Beanie Babies and brushable Barbies.

You can get ya a glass when you order one of the following Collector meal options:

Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Hash Brown and Hot Coffee
10-piece Chicken McNuggets, Fries, and Drink
Big Mac, Fries, and Drink
