Historic World War II Aircraft Coming to Evansville, Indiana and You Can Ride

Having flown with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and with Team Aeroshell, I am a big fan of military jets and planes. Those experiences were ones I will never forget. Well, here's YOUR chance to fly in historic World War II aircraft for a similar unforgettable experience.

The Evansville Wartime Museum is hosting four vintage planes and you will have the opportunity to book rides on That's All, Brother!

That's All, Brother is the authentic C-47A Skytrain troop transport that led the Allied Airborne Invasion over Normandy on D-Day, June 6th, 1944.

Here's more about this historically important and world-changing plane.

Other aircraft on display and in flight will be the SNJ/T-6 Texan advanced trainer. Thousands of airmen have trained for combat in this plane.

The JRB Navy transport will be in Evansville too and will give your entire family the chance to fly together. There will also be a PT-26 Trainer.

The aircraft will be staged at the Evansville Wartime Museum at the Evansville Regional Airport, which is located at 7503 Petersburg Road in Evansville, Indiana.

The event will be open to the public Friday, June 9, from noon – 3:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, June 10-June 11, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

SUGGESTED DONATION FOR TOURS

Admission for this event is $ 20.00 per adult, including museum and aircraft tours. WWII and Korean War Veterans are FREE.

AIRCRAFT RIDES

Depending on the selected aircraft, flight experiences range from $100 to $385.
