Easterseals Telethon Raises Over $900K in Evansville
A Huge Fundraising Success For Easterseals
When the clock hit 7pm on Friday, April 17, and the 49th annual Easterseals Telethon officially wrapped up, a total of $912,065 had been raised for the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville. That’s an amazing amount – all of which will stay local, helping provide inclusive early education and essential therapy services for children and adults with disabilities across the Tri-State.
Powerful Stories Highlight Local Impact
Throughout the day, the telethon was filled with powerful mission stories, heartfelt moments, and a whole lot of gratitude for the businesses, organizations, and individuals who continue to step up year after year. Viewers also got to meet inspiring local ambassadors like Youth Ambassador Paige Musgrove and Adult Ambassador Megan Durre, both of Evansville, who helped put a face to the life-changing work Easterseals does every single day.
Community Support Drives Telethon Success
The broadcast, which aired live on ABC 25/CW 7, was made possible thanks to donated airtime and production support. And it wasn’t just on TV – several of our Townsquare Media radio stations (99.5 WKDQ, MY 105.3, 103 GBF, and 92.5 WBKR) were live on-site throughout the day, helping spread the word and encourage donations.
Special Honors And Easterseals Day Proclamation
In a special moment, Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry even declared April 17 as “Easterseals Day” in the city, recognizing the organization’s incredible impact. Several supporters were also honored with Easterseals Mayor’s Awards for their generosity.
Now, if you’re reading this and thinking that you want to help too, don’t worry, it’s not too late to give! If you missed the telethon, you can still donate by texting “TRANSFORM” to 27126, visiting their website, calling, or stopping by in person.

As Easterseals celebrates 80 years of serving our community, this year’s telethon is another reminder of just how much good can happen when we all come together. Nearly 5,000 individuals across 31 counties benefit from their services – and thanks to this community, that support will continue strong.
