Heady's Pizza has had a rough go at it, like a lot of small locally-owned businesses. The owners tried several different tactics to keep the pizza ovens on, but it didn't work. Heady's Pizza fans came through for a few weeks as the owner attempted to find a buyer or investment situation.
We made a go of it after getting help from the bank, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough. As it turns out, the vast majority of our customers either think we are already closed or have already shown us support countless times over the last month or so. We couldn’t be more grateful for all the support. There haven't been any serious buyers looking to take over, which is understandable given that today's situation isn't ideal for owning a small restaurant in Evansville.
Heady's did auction off the very last pizza to the highest bidder on Facebook. It was the 14-inch Chicken Blah Blah Pizza, and it sold for $30.
